I went to "de Brief voor de Koning" (The Letter for the King), a Dutch movie about a boy who has to bring a letter to, you guessed it, the king. It was a nice movie. But I'm only mentioning this for Hanna Schwamborn, the perfect Sansa! She's even wearing blue :D

Isn't she pretty?

ALSO. WATCHMEN. I'M SO EXCITED! I love the comic so I hope mister Zach "300" Snyder redeems himself by making a good Watchmen movie.

I'm starting to think that I'm a lot more weepy than I used to be. I saw a program with seven year old Chinese farmer kids who only get to see their parents once a year (the parents have to work in the city). They had to say what they want most in the world and all they want is to be scientists so they can make money for their parents and be with them. And then they all started crying. And so did I. :(  And then it got worse, because the poor old grandfather who also stays behind started crying too! I'm seriously starting to hate all the hate against Chinese. I mean, it's only a select few who can enjoy a rich live buying up Western stocks. Mostly the Chinese are poor and exploited.

Also, I was working on the Cash register in the departmentstore and then a customer comes to buy a shirt. I'm like "Hello, how do you do" etc. And then I stare. Because he's one of those Elder Mormons. Mormons! I should know better but I really didn't expect them here. I think he caught me staring at him as if I saw pigs fly.

Apparently she was born in 1992 in Berlin. That surprised me because her Dutch is actually pretty good in the movie, even though she's German. I never guessed. She was also in Goodbye Lenin.

The chances are zilch of her being in the series but she makes for good icon material! (as you will see in a few days)

The expression is pretty perfect, innocent and fresh but not exactly an unreal doll.

Chinese and Mormons, eh? Eclectic life you lead :P

See my reply above for another picture of her smile :) And now I'm just picspamming but....:

I really like my vacation job (at least this year, I def. wouldn't want to do it forever). It's sort of illuminating in a way to see people from so many different layers in society. I mean, I'm pretty much a middle class girl, so seeing all the working class people, the other foreigners, some of which can barely talk Dutch, and sometimes the really snobby rich people is different. And it's good practice for keeping a smile on your face even though you sometimes just want to strangle the costumer. XD

OMG you're making icons?? Your damn house is really racking up the points.

Seriously, STOP!!

Heheh, j/k j/k ... though I hope to post some too soon. Anyhow, yeah her nose is a bit indelicate but it really works with the rest of her face to make her seem really innocent and guileless, but not in a ditzy way, just sweet.

PS it sounds like you should write a book of memoirs or vignettes about your summer, you're 17 right? It's like that brink of adulthood time, never happens again, capture your youth while you can! Hahah, I still can't believe you're 17, you sound so much more mature than me.

:D Well, I'm sort of keeping a diary but that's to clear my thoughts so I can sleep at night. If I don't do this I just keep tossing and turning and thinking. Like once, I swear, I had a two hour monologue about history and the kings of Britain and England and how I thought the Tudors get way too much attention.

I'm actually 18 now ;) And now you're just lying, I'm not the one making long posts about humanism and expressing thoughts on feminism in an eloquent manner. :P

Oh yes you are 18! I started a little Tyrell picture for your birthday but, surprise surprise, did not finish. Maybe, uhh, Christmas, yeah *twiddles thumbs nervously*

Speaking of too much Tudors, I called my mother last night and she says she's been taping the Tudors for me (I don't get the right channel here). Supposedly season 2 has been better than season 1?

Ah! Well, I must say that the fact that you even though of making something for me is very sweet :D

I like season 2 better. Not that the Tudors is a great show, but it has it's moments and great designs (I'm in love with the many costumes). Season 1 suffers from being too soapy what with Henry chasing all the girls. Season 2 is also soapy but it focuses on more than just romance and the feud between Anne and Catherine. Sadly 2 misses Wolsey, whom I liked, and it has less Catherine. But what it does have is Thomas More and his death, arguably one of the finer moments. Anne is also more interesting because now she has to deal with her downfall. Also. Peter O'Toole as the Pope. Awesome. Mind you, Henry continues to fucking annoying (and hypocritical), also because he shoves the blame of events on others, especially on Anne. I'm not sure if the makers meant for him to be a bastard or if they wanted to make him a woobie. Hmmm. Oh, and Henry's daughters are so darling. The icon I have now is Lady Mary. Her struggle is also pretty interesting.

P.S. I swear to god that Jonathan Rhys Meyers would make a damn fine Littlefinger now that he's 31 and when he has a moustache.

Wow, yes, in the vein of Amok's Littlefinger.

Less Catherine and less Wolsey makes me sad, they were my favorites :( AEMON O'TOOLE!
