Anyway
YES, YES, MFing YES! Guess who got her three day apprenticeship with an eye medic on time? ME, HELL YEAH! I can also have a look in the surgeon room when he's operating. I actually believe my mother is more relieved about me succeeding than I am. XD
Anyway, those asoiaf quizzes. Well, I've done them both (and one was definitely better spelled than the other) and the results?

Hmm. So I'm not surprised to see Tyrell in the top but the Tully and Stark was somewhat surprising, I am clearly more honourable than I thought. (Still, cool houses so it's not like I'm complaining :D)
Your result for The Elemental Beauty Test...
Fearless Beauty
50% Air, 17% Water, 33% Earth, and 0% Fire!
You scored 50% Air! Outrageous!
The Air element says that you have a fearless beauty. Air relies on intellect, logic, and knowledge. They don't care much about trends, they care about what works for them.
With an air beauty is done with their own quirky and offbeat style that suits their inner personality. You have a great sense of humor and if you love something that others will see as zany you'll wear it just to prove that you have what it takes to pull it off.
You inner beauty is the type that is forever in search of knowledge. You can go from the corner grocery store to learning meditation techniques from the top of the Himalayan Mountains in Tibet.
Zodiac air signs include Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.
You also scored:
33% Earth: Earth is the natural beauty. They tend to stick to classic styles and colors. They tend to be more grounded. 0% Earth may indicate that plain old common sense is not your strong suit. A person with equal percentage in Earth and Air indicate a person that both thinks and uses good common sense.
17% Water: Water is the etheral beauty. They like things that drape and shimmer. The love vintage and heirlooms; things with emotional ties and history. 0% Water may mean that you don't trust or use your intuition. A person with highest even percentage in Water and Air indicates a person that is a dreamer and fantasy-prone.
0% Fire: Fire is the alluring beauty. They like to wear bright colors and show some skin. They are sexually minded and spicy. They use a lot of charm to get what they want. 0% Fire can often be seen in someone that pushes and tries to force self-expression. A person with equal Fire and Air indicates a person that may be a bit scattered but someone who has a lot of enthusiasm and has a lot of ideas.

Also, have been watching Kings, because I was curious to see what they would do with story of Saul and David (+ Jonathan).
Kings is a television drama series airing on NBC and Citytv, based on the Biblical story of King David in a kingdom that culturally and technologically resembles the present-day United States.
It's pretty cool so far. Beautiful setting. Saul (played by Ian McShane) is pretty damn epic (so is his wife). I like what they did with Goliath, Jesse (He's a she!) and Michelle sure does a lot more that her Biblical counterpart Michal (though, you know, a rock would have more presence than Michal). I also love the two guards, nice bit of comic relief.
Anyway, I feel gratified about Jack (=Jonathan) being gay (and I did a doubletake when I recognized him, it's Carter from Gossip Girl! XD). Clearly I am not the only one who sees the subtext in the Bible. Heh. I was so surprised I had to check the Wikipedia Kings page, but yeah, apparently it's true. I wonder where they're going with it.

Date: 2009-04-02 05:12 pm (UTC)Do you have a link to the quiz that put you in Tyrell? I want to give that one a shot, too, see if the results make more sense. I don't see you as Starkish or Tully-ish, but I do remember someone at

Mind you, it's chockful of spelling mistakes and some of the questions are kind of idiotic ("Your leige lord used to be your worst enemy?" Um, I had no idea how to answer that one XD).
Yeah, I get the Stark/Tully remarks quite a lot. I don't necessarily disagree, though.

Date: 2009-04-02 05:37 pm (UTC)Oh, and I meant to say -- congratulations on the apprenticeship! I cannot say that I comprehend your enthusiasm for watching people slice up eyeballs (or whatever it is they do... >.>), but it certainly sounds like a cool opportunity!
On the scramble... the way I arrived at the answer was by looking for words I could find in the name for my silly anagrams thing (like "BORE" or "OLD" or whatever) and eventually... Eureka moment :)

Date: 2009-04-02 06:28 pm (UTC)Thank you! I'm pretty excited about it. It's just one operation, cataract sugery so it's hardly chopping up eyes, but it's still big for me :D
