I got an 8 for my first uni exam, people (though it's still subject to change). That's in the top 2% of 425 people. Oh God, now I can finally sleep peacefully XD

Had thorax two weeks ago. Got to dissect a sheep's thoracal organs. Had fun sticking my finger into the aorta and seeing it come out of the a. brachiocephalis. Had abdomen in cuttingroom last week, saw many intestines, which was fun (some smelly, some diseased. There was this one... nevermind, you don't want to know). Had hip area this week. Saw a lot of dead male and female genitalia. Felt a bit uneasy. Was not the only one. Death is something you get to think about a lot here. Had a college about what can go wrong in childbirth, with accompanying pictures. Felt my ovaries shrinking, so to say.

Orchestra practice was cool, Cesar Franck's Symphony in D minor. Links for those interested:
Movement one, part one, and two.
Movement two, part one and two.
Movement three.

It's very pretty, very much impressionistic. One is passionate, and dark. Two is subtle. Three is exuberant. I wish I wasn't this sleep deprived. Might've been more convincing >.>

Writing like Rorschach. Sorry.

Memes tomorrow. Now it's time for beautiful glorious sleep. *happy sigh*

Actually they should put you through a rorschach test, I wonder with what lovely ideas about intestins and human bodily structures come up? (By the way in general psychology it's considered as a really sucky test)

You must come by! Soon! once exams are over.

Yeah, LOL, only my parents can stand me talking about the cuttingroom for long XD

Haha, I'm talking about Rorschach, the character from Watchmen (He's called Rorschach because his mask has blobs which are shaped like Rorschach blots). You'll see (though I keep promising to give you it but I haven't)

Watchmen considers it a sucky test too XD

YES! I miss you :(

I could go in a frantic apology and rant on how I miss you too and everytime I come home from university I'm like "argh, I need to not walk home, but say hi to Sahar" But in my defense, I have been insanely! busy lately, as together becoming ill and developing an infection (no fun!)

Well it's a sucky test, but it's fun to do in the way internet meme's are fun and checking out your horoscape in free newspapers on the train is fun.

It's okay, I had the same thing about feeling guilty, I really wanted to call you or something but I was afraid you were busy (and I did have exams and all too).

Aww, you're sick too? I had that last week. Seriously, when the profs are done you can hear a hundred students coughing and sneezing. :(

I never see anything in those blots. It's all trees and flowers, for real XD

So, you're a medical student??

Had a college about what can go wrong in childbirth, with accompanying pictures.

Heh! Not long before I had my baby last year, I actually sought out all these horrific tales about childbirth as a weird way of superstitiously hoping to ensure they wouldn't happen to me. It was like the more I knew, the worse of an idea the whole thing seemed, but at that point, I had no choice BUT to continue on until I gave birth :P (But it ended up not being so bad at all and I have a lovely boy now, so it was worth it.)

Yeah, in my first year! :D Mind you, I was really worried. I got through secondary school with the best grades of my year, but we have this guy in my orchestra who's in his 6th year of Medicines and when I squeed to him about my grades and the fact that I got into uni, he was all: "Pah, good grades in sec. school don't mean anything, wah wah wah kids these days don't get a good education, you have to learn a lot by heart".

Which really bummed me out, that jerk >:(

Yeah, I'd like to have kids when I'm older... but that was brutal, man. >_>

Thanks :D I really mentioned it in my entry because there were all these horror stories about only 10% of the students having a pass for this test. And while I'm pretty confident about my learning skillz, I'm not that confident.
