So... the new Doctor in Doctor Who has been announced and it's... Matt Smith. Never heard of him, but he's apparently the youngest Doctor-actor ever (26). Ah well, I hope he does okay, though it also depends on Steve Moffat, I suppose (but I think he's a better writer than Russel T Davies anyway). David Tennant has been a good Doctor even thought I definitely had my problems with the 10th Doctor and lost my interest in the end.
ETA: LOL at fandom_secrets for already making a 11th Doctor Wank!Bingo card. I should check out Fandom Wank tomorrow to see if anything happens.

I have only one New Year resolution this year: Make my teenage brother shave, dammit. He has this vague fuzz and it looks like he has dirt on his face. Here's an actual conversation today:

Oh, I see. I actually am not familiar with any myths about Hermes's tricks, though I vaguely knew that he was supposed to be a trickster, so he always seemed nondescript to me. So that's why I asked. :)

Ah! I see now. Well, when he was born his first action was to steal Apollo's suncows, he defeated the monster Argus by trickery, he was the one who made Apollo's lyre when he was a toddler in trade for his caduceus (which is sometimes used as a symbol for medicin, though mistakenly, haha) and if I'm not mistaken he was also the one who taught his son Pan how to masturbate because Pan wasn't getting any from nymphs (though, err, I didn't get that from my Myth book >.>)
